As of 3-26; a request for Guidance for Little League (outdoor non-contact, non-school affiliated youth sports) from Ottawa County has resulted in a response that a response has not been received from the State yet. At this time, HLL is continuing with what we used in our successfully completed Fall Season.
Attendance of any player, coach or anyone else attending a practice or game is acknowledgement that you do not have the following symptoms: Fever/ Chills, Cough, Shortness of Breath, Fatigue, Muscle or Body Aches, Headache, Lost of Taste or Smell, Sore Throat, Congestion or Runny Nose, Nausea, Vomiting, or Diarrhea.
If you have any of these symptoms... stay home, and do not attend any team/ league activities.
or Practices – teams should separate in to different parts of the field with their equipment hung on fence (avoid dugouts for practice times) Players and coaches should maintain at least 3 feet of distancing where possible.
The stands are closed until further notice. This will allow avoid “gathering of spectators” and will help to spread the parents/spectators around the field.
Shared equipment is discouraged.
Catcher’s Equipment will not be used at Rookie and Coach Pitch Divisions. Instead the catcher will be positioned to the side to cover the position once the ball is in play.
Rookie teams have been limited to 6 players per team to help with distancing at an age level where distancing is harder to enforce and outfield positions are not necessary needed.
